If you’ve blogged for any length of time at all, you know the struggle faced when it comes to building your following. As you begin writing and promoting your work, it can be discouraging at times knowing you’re writing for an audience of 1. I know I faced this soon after I began blogging. You want people to read what you’ve spent hours creating, but you’re not sure how to promote your work.
Soon after beginning my blog, I knew that I needed to figure out how to get my content in front of people. After much experimenting, learning, failing and then learning some more, I developed a strategy to grow your Twitter following that works beautifully. It’s simple, free, and effective.
As I’ll share in the book, it’s the method that I’ve used to grow my following by 2000 followers in 90 days. It sounds like a huge number, and it is, but as T. Harv Eker states in his book Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, the rich set huge goals. Poor people set small ones.
It’s also responsible for me gaining the exposure and increased credibility to be featured on numerous finance sites, get multiple high profile guest posts, and to begin getting paid to write.
When I started my blog, I did so in the hopes that I’d be able to bring some light to people’s financial difficulties. My hope was that if people saw how I had struggled with money in the past, the dumb things I’d done and the mistakes I’d made, they could talk about their own concerns and perhaps learn something from me.
Now it’s my hope that you can learn from how I’ve grown my Twitter following to build your own online community and to further your success as an expert and influencer.
